Great! You took the first step and decided to order a hat on the website.
If you already have a hat and you know your size – great.
But if you are buying a hat for the first time or if you haven’t bought a hat in a long time – it is important that you choose the hat in the right size that suits you. Every head has a different size and shape, and there is no such thing as an ‘average hat size’.
The size of the hat
There are 2 options to find out your hat size with maximum accuracy:
1. Measure the hats of the people in your immediate environment.
Even if you didn’t find a hat in your exact size – you still got a clearer indication of your size.
2. Measuring the circumference of the head with a measuring tape.
This is the more accurate method.
Equip yourself with a measuring tape of the type used for sewing, which has measurements in centimeters on the side.
The best would be if someone you trust measures the head for you (the head is an important thing not to entrust to strangers.)
Measure the circumference of the head where the hat usually sits – straight in the middle of the forehead about half a centimeter above the eyebrows, up to above the ear at the back of the head.
Stretch the measuring tape around the head, but not too tight (most measuring errors are due to over-tightening the measuring tape). It is important to make sure that the band hugs the head in the same way that you would want the hat to be tight. The number of centimeters you got on the measuring tape – will also be the size of your hat!
If you don’t have a tape measure, you can use a regular thread to measure and then check the length of the thread in centimeters.
The best thing to do is to measure your head size three times and take the largest of the measurements.
It is important!
Along with the hat, you will also receive size adapters (pads) designed to reduce the size of the hat – if necessary. The pads are inserted in the inside of the hat under the leather strap – on the sides or in the back, where you feel the gap, and this way you can reduce the hat by up to 2 sizes!

Brim width (for brimmed hats)
If you currently have a hat and you want the same width of the brim – place the hat with the ‘crown’ facing up. Take a simple ruler or the measuring tape and accurately measure the width of the brim of the hat (it doesn’t matter which direction), flatten the brim for maximum accuracy – and that way you will know which size to order.
In conclusion, in home conditions it is possible to reach a level of accuracy just like in the store. In any case, you are welcome to contact our customer service experts who will guide and advise you so that you feel confident in your purchase.
We hope this article helped you choose the hat that suits you best!
